‘Telling
Stories’
A Professional Development
Day focussing on supporting children's imaginative and narrative explorations
Date: Saturday
17th October 2015, from 9.00am until 4.15pm
Venue: Reflections
Nursery, Worthing, UK
Cost:
£115,
including refreshments and lunch
Young children tell stories
every day to develop their play and investigations;
to begin conversations and construct imaginary worlds; to explore physical
environments and emotional experiences. Find out how Reflections supports
this important language of expression and what we discovered in a year-long
focus on children’s ‘storying’, which began with some intriguing
questions: Do babies tell stories? Can you have a story
without words? Is ‘storying’ different from fantasy play? Is one sentence a
story?
Martin Pace, Director of
Reflections & Deb Wilenski, Pedagogical Advisor will be supported by other
Reflections educators to give presentations.
